I think it would be handy (and this may not even be possible) to be able to initiate certain sounds at certain points in a scene. For instance. I have a nice woodsy backdrop with travel music and the group gets ambushed. I would like to be able to just have maybe an orc scream and the sound of an arrow whizzing by without leaving my scene. Something like an independant button list for special effects that fall outside the repeating group. Heck I think that an effects button set for the Iphone could be really cool. You just load it up and it is like a D&D See-N-Say. I am probably asking for more than can be done but it is something I have been looking for for a while.

You can setup the orc scream and arrow as a separate scene. More than one scene can be playing at a time.
You also don't need the scene editor open to play a scene. You really only need the scene editor outside of the game play when you are building the scenes, you can trigger scenes to start and stop from the main view.
So:
Create your woodland scene, and another scene for the arrows/orc.
Set the woodland scene to loop however you wish.
Have no looping on the arrow scene.
Play the woodland scene for the indeterminate amount of time.
Hit the arrow scene and it'll get thrown into the mix without stopping the woodland scene.
There is a little issue at the moment that you'll find with the arrow scene and that's that the play/stop control is not yet aware that the scene is done with and so continues to stay in it's play state, so to trigger the arrow again you'll need to stop it and start it again.
Something I plan to fix of course!

Is it possible to set up a series of arrow shots that are different and have it use a random one each time? It seems to play the first one every time.

I worked on that problem earlier last week, fixed in the next build.

Thanks. This is a very nice program. I will be dm'ing a game on the 20th I hope to be able to test it all out then.

Thank you Mac, that's the kind of encouragement I need to get me working on it more :)
What with two kids running around the house and a full time job to keep track of. *grins*

I understand I have a 10 yhear old who I am teaching D&D and want to keep her interested. This program could be very handy for that. Let me know when the next version is out so I can implement it right away.

BTW you don't know when you would have that randomize ability available do you? I am just trying to decide if I should hold out or just make a bunch of buttons.
