I know I can manually edit the module files to add a scene quickly, but it would be really nice to be able to drag and drop scenes between two open modules. I imagine this would not be an easy thing to code, but the ability to create a "master set" of scenes that I could then pull from when I'm making my board for the up and coming session would be a HUGE time-saver.
Transferring Scenes

Currently I'm working on being able to export and import scenes.
The current wrinkle that needs ironing is that I'll need to support both self contained scenes, that are portable as they contain their sounds files, as well as scene files that just reference a library of sounds.
Both would be perfect for your pick and mix needs.
The self contained scenes though will allow Softrope users to share scenes with the community.
Eventually I will build a Scene Store where we can all publish and share scenes, and perhaps even sell them if people would be interested in making a few pennies for a scene download.
Something a bit like Apple's App Store where there'll be a mix free scenes and paid ones.
It's the best way I can think of to monetise Softrope. I'd rather not sell Softrope itself, I'd rather have more users than cold hard cash. I did think about selling subscriptions to a Scene library, but again I'd rather have more people contributing to the library.
Thoughts everyone?

I LOVE the idea of self contained scenes. So convenient and simple. Selling them for 50 cents or what-not would be cool too, and there is definitely nothing wrong with you making some money for all your amazing work. I am always willing to pay for something that is reasonably priced. The only time I avoid paying is when companies overcharge. $10-$20 for well made software is WELL worth the cash. Speaking of, do you have a donation option? Not that I have tons of spare cash these days, but your work is amazing and this is one of the few in progress projects I would actually give money to support :-)

Thank you. You've made my day and raised my spirits.
If people would like to donate and feel it was actually going towards something concrete, then it's possible to donate directly towards my hosting bill, without me being able to frivolously spend it on anything else.

Oh sweet! I'll be donating too with the next money shower next month ;)
A happy programmer is a good programmer :PIsn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?
